PowerPlay’s rest-of-Canada welcome is a first-deposit sports match. You pick the “Sport Bonus” option when you deposit; there’s no code. The match comes with a rollover at minimum odds that sit at the short end, a 30-day window, a max bet while the bonus is live and a cap on what you can cash out from it. The figures are in the offer box above.
Our source doesn’t say whether the rollover runs on the bonus alone or on deposit plus bonus. We assume the bonus, which is the kinder reading. Even that reading is heavy.
That doesn’t make the offer worthless. It makes it paid betting time: you get a bigger balance and a longer run, and a hot streak can clear it with money to spare. What it isn’t is value on its own. ⚠️ The terms that bite
The rollover. Covered above. In the worked example, thirty days for C$2,000 of bets on a C$100 bonus is roughly C$67 a day.
The cashout cap. One source lists a cap on what you can withdraw from the bonus. It won’t bite most bettors, but read it before a big run.
Mixed signals on the offer. One source page showed a “not available at your location” banner, and a Canadian casino page lists PowerPlay’s welcome as to be confirmed. Check the cashier before you deposit.
How to claim it
Register from a province outside Ontario and Alberta, choose the sport bonus in the cashier and deposit at least the minimum in the offer box by Interac. Then bet singles at or above the odds floor, under the max bet, and check your progress in the account. If the volume looks too much for your normal betting, decline the bonus: you’ll keep the freedom to withdraw any time.
Markets for Canadian bettors
PowerPlay’s sports list in our research runs from ice hockey, basketball, American football, soccer, baseball, golf and tennis to motor racing, futsal, bowls, squash, sailing and water polo. Canadian football and esports aren’t confirmed.
Hockey and basketball carry the welcome best: the NHL season opened on 29 September with seven Canadian teams, and the Raptors’ NBA season opened at home on 21 October. Golf and motor racing fans get the RBC Canadian Open in June 2027 and Formula 1 in Montreal, which moved to May in 2026. One hockey detail matters for any rollover: a 60-minute line is three-way and ignores overtime, while the standard moneyline usually includes it. 🔒 Licence and safety
The Curaçao Gaming Authority register dated 20 October 2026 lists OGL/2024/999/0482 for Deck Entertainment B.V., status Indefinite, issued in March 2026. That’s a current licence under Curaçao’s new law, which requires segregated player funds and free independent dispute resolution paid by the operator. One review also mentions Malta, but we found no MGA entry for any PowerPlay company.
Curaçao is not a provincial licence, and provincial self-exclusion such as BCLC’s Game Break doesn’t reach this site. Set a deposit limit before you start clearing a big rollover. A heavy rollover is exactly the kind of term that nudges you to bet more often than you planned. Canada’s Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines suggest gambling no more than 1% of household income a month and on no more than four days a month; a 30-day clearing window can push well past the second one. PowerPlay offers a big sports match with a friendly odds floor and fast Interac withdrawals at the quick end of the reports, under a Curaçao licence the register lists as Indefinite. The rollover is the problem: at standard margins, clearing it costs about as much as the bonus is worth. Withdrawal caps, no app and no live streaming also count against it.
