BonusMadness compares online casino bonuses by what they are really worth. Headline numbers are easy to print. What’s hard is the wagering, the max bet, the cashout cap and the claim window, and those decide whether a bonus is worth claiming. We put them on the card, next to the headline, and we show the maths.
Who the site is for
BonusMadness is for adults. The international section on our home page shows offers in euros for readers aged 18 and over, and hides offers that are not available in your country. Alongside it we run country sections, each with its own offers, currency and age limit:
- Canada: amounts in Canadian dollars, for readers aged 19 and over outside Ontario and Alberta. Both provinces run their own regulated online gambling markets, and the casinos we list there serve players in the rest of the country.
- Finland, Ireland and Austria: amounts in euros, for readers aged 18 and over.
A casino appears in a country section only when its terms accept players from that country. It’s your responsibility to check that online gambling is allowed for you where you live.
How we research
Research is done country by country. For each country we first build a research pack from local sources: the gambling law and who enforces it, the minimum age, how winnings are taxed, the official help lines, the payment methods players there use, and how local players and review sites talk about casinos. Packs exist today for Canada, Finland, Ireland and Austria.
Every casino and bonus is then researched from the operator’s own pages for that country: bonus terms, general terms, payments pages and licence details. We cross-check those facts against regulators’ public registers and against review sites and guides from the same country. Each fact carries its source, the date we checked it and a confidence level, and where sources disagree, the review says so.
We do not deposit, play or withdraw at the casinos we review. Payout times on this site are the times casinos publish or, where a casino publishes none, times reported by independent sources. We think a site that reads the terms harder than anyone, and is honest about where its numbers come from, is more useful than one that claims to have tried everything itself.
Scores come from a published formula over those facts, explained step by step on how we rate casinos, so you can check any score yourself.
Licences, stated plainly
Every casino card and review names the licence the casino actually holds, for example from Malta, Estonia, the Isle of Man, Kahnawake, Curaçao or Anjouan, and the review says where complaints go. Many casinos we list hold no licence in the country you are reading about. Finland and Austria run state monopolies and Ireland does not yet license online casinos, so none of the casinos in those sections is licensed there. The casinos in the Canada section hold licences from outside the provincial systems. We say so on the pages where it matters.
What you’ll find here
- Casino reviews with the bonus maths worked out: the total bets needed to clear each offer and what that costs on average.
- Bonus listings by type, such as welcome bonuses and wager-free bonuses, with wagering and limits on every card. Each country section has its own lists, for example welcome bonuses in Finland.
- Payment guides in the country sections for the methods players there use, such as Interac in Canada, Trustly in Finland and EPS in Austria.
- Guides to the mechanics behind bonuses and the local rules in each country, for Canada, Finland, Ireland and Austria, plus a wagering calculator that runs the numbers on any offer.
How the site is funded
BonusMadness earns commission when readers open an account at some of the casinos we list. It costs you nothing, and it never changes a score. How that works is set out in full in our affiliate disclosure.
Who writes it
Reviews and guides are researched and written by the BonusMadness research team. We publish as a team, not under individual names, and every page shows the date its facts were last checked.
Corrections
Casinos change their terms, and we sometimes get things wrong. If you spot a fact that’s out of date or incorrect, contact us with the page and, if you can, the source. We check every report against the operator’s own pages and update the page, with a new check date, when it’s confirmed.
Play safely
Gambling is entertainment, not income. Set a deposit limit before you play, and if it stops being fun, free and confidential help is available. Our responsible gambling page lists the help lines for every country we cover, plus an international service.
