BET99 calls it First Bet Encore, and it works like insurance on your opening bet. Place your first cash sports bet. If it wins, you keep the winnings and the offer ends there. If it loses, BET99 refunds the stake as bonus bets, split into four equal slices, credited within 72 hours and valid for 14 days. The cap, minimum deposit and playthrough are in the offer box above. You have 30 days from registering to place the qualifying bet.
The four slices are the detail that matters. You can’t put the whole refund on one game; you get four smaller bonus bets, and a bonus bet doesn’t return its stake when it wins.
The odds you choose for the bonus bets change their value more than anything else. Here is what a C$10 stake-not-returned bonus bet is worth on average at different prices:

Longer odds hold more value on average, but they also lose more often, so four bonus bets at 5.00 will usually return nothing at all. That’s the trade: steadier small returns at short odds, or a higher average with more misses at long ones.
So the refund turns roughly half of a losing first bet back into expected value, more if you use the bonus bets at longer odds. That’s a sound deal for one bet you’d place anyway. It’s not a reason to bet bigger than you planned: the refund only kicks in on a loss.
